"Piano" mount / adapter for MightyBoard to SKR 1.1/1.3/Gen L
thingiverse
This adapter will work from a printer that uses the Mightyboard to mount a range of 32-bit LPC1768-based Chinese boards (SKR 1.1, SKR 1.3, MKS Gen L, etc.), which all use the same bolt pattern. It has only been tested on a Qidi Tech 1, which is essentially a rebranded FlashForge Creator Pro, with an SKR 1.3. It should work with a wide range of Makerbot/Flashforge-style printers (let me know if it doesn't!). The adapter maintains the use of stock standoffs and screws. The adapter also provides mounting points for a 12v-24v NCEP01T18T MOSFET, which is highly recommended for safety, as well as a LM2596 buck converter for powering LEDs, Raspberry Pi, etc. It maintains adequate space for the stock cooling fan. It allows wires to be routed under the mount for a tidy installation. You will likely need to install almost all new connectors and reroute/trim nearly all of your wires to move to one of these boards (this adapter will simply mount it to your chassis). I am working on a YouTube video to help document this, which I will share soon. This project was inspired by sendel's SKR mount. I started off wanting more space between the case & board, as well as a stiffer platform.
