This is a surprise birthday gift for my sister. I bet she will love it. I have included stl and skp files so you can modify this to your own size and shape if you like. I use sketchup, because it is really easy.

You can put any type of led light inside. I got a free led strip light at Harbor Freight. I took the battery cover off (takes 3 AAA batts), and power it with a phone charger. Simply cut of the connector on the phone charger and solder the two wires to the battery terminals in the light. Screw the light into the bottom and you are done. BAMMM

Getting the music just right was a bear. Here are some insights. I took music from pdf, then saved as png/bmp, then went to an online website and converted the bmp to svg. Then went to Tinkercad. Tinker cad can easily import .svg and create an stl out of that. Many times I did this however, and the lines on the music staff were too thin to print, even with print thin walls enabled. After about 6 times messing with resolution, scaling, I was able to get the desired result. People who play piano will instantly recognize what song this is, a true classic for Piano.

You may or may NOT be able to scale the entire project, I do not know how successful that might be. I have a Anycubic Predator, with a 370mm diameter bed and everything fit verrrry easily LOL.

Enjoy and print one for the piano/music buff in your life.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Anycubic

Printer:

Predator

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

.3mm

Infill:

25

Filament: generic black and white pla black and white

Notes:

Everything was designed to be printed in pieces and you need 8 - M3x8 screws to assemble. All printed at .3mm (.3236 magic layer height actually) on AnyCubic Predator Delta. If want you could print at .1mm, but it would take forever and it is not that detailed. Printed with a .5mm nozzle. If you do not print at .3mm, pieces may not fit. It is a tight fit, there are channels that hold the panels in place. Bed 52 degrees and hotend 208 degrees.
SPECIAL NOTE: To print the clairlune.stl , print the first 2 layers (.3mm layers) in white, then pause and switch to black and continue.
How I Designed This

All original design

I came up with the design myself, designed everything in Sketchup, except the sheet music panel which was done in Tinker, because TinkerCad easily allows you to import .svg and create an stl file.

Category: Music
