Piaggio Ciao Air Box
thingiverse
This summer I decided to renew my old Piaggio Ciao that I used to play with and customize some years ago. The project by MopedFactory https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4221517 gave me the motivation to try to make my customized air box. This air box is designed to take more air, even if the actual carburetor air intake is pretty small. Actually, the real aim is to make the Ciao appearance cooler! Print the parts as they are oriented in the STL. These orientations should limitate supports and printing time. To assemble the airbox make two or more small holes between the base and the upper part and use appropriate screws. My advice is also to make a little cut in the connection with the carburator to make the connection stronger and limitate the possibilities of breaking the connection if using weak material. Finally, if you want to keep the filter permanently, you should cut the footboard of the Ciao. Have fun! Ciao!
