Pi Zero Spy Camera
prusaprinters
This makes a compact "spy" camera from a Raspberry Pi Zero W and the Adafruit Zero Spy Camera for Raspberry Pi Zero. The software is MotionEyeOS by Calin Crisan. Details and links in the description below. Print instructionsI used Fusion 360 for this project. Thank you Autodesk for letting me play with your amazing tool! NOTE The Fusion 360 file attached as a ".f3d" file but the extension should actually be ".f3z" but the web site didn't like that one ... you will need to rename it to use it in Fusion 360 The design is completely parametric, meaning that none of the dimensions and constraint values are applied directly to the design, all are references to the User Parameters. This means that if you wish to change something you should be able to adjust the desired parameter and the other values should adjust to compensate. At least that is the intention. I have included the Fusion 360 model as well as a STEP export of the model for those that wish to build or improve on this. The PiZeroW model I pulled from one of the ones I found on Grabcad, I believe it was this one: Raspberry Pi Zero W board Materials Hardware: Raspberry Pi Zero W Zero Spy Camera for Raspberry Pi Zero MicroSD card USB power supply, microUSB Software: MotionEyeOS Go to the WIKI and follow the links for Supported Devices to find the Pi Zero image file. Setup The Adafruit Spy Camera has a short ribbon cable included. Attach the camera to the Pi using this cable. Bend the cable sharply at the Pi connector end and wrap it to the back of the PI. There is a small self-adhesive spot at the back of the camera, remove this and stick it to the back of the Pi. Be sure to stretch the cable fairly tightly so that it aligns with the hole in the case bottom. There is some leeway available but it should be pretty tight. Follow the MotionEyeOS instructions to install the software. I used a 64GB High Endurance MicroSD card. This could also run off a battery power supply. A large one could probably power it for quite a while.
With this file you will be able to print Pi Zero Spy Camera with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Pi Zero Spy Camera.
