Pi server case - raspberry pi 4 with SSD
prusaprinters

With 4 cores and 4gb of ram, the raspberry pi 4 is a pretty respectable little computer. With a SSD daughter card and drive, even the storage is speedy.

I found this cool little adapter board that lets me add a M.2 format SSD to my pi 4. The SD card still contains the bootloader but all file systems live on the SSD. So it boots and runs from SSD. Neat, but it doesn’t fit in any case I’ve found so Shapr3D to the rescue!

Print instructions

Attached optional Gcode file if you’re lucky enough to also have an i3 MK3/s. It’ll prompt you to swap filament as seen in the cover photo. I used a thin layer of a transparent PETG that lets me see the power and activity LEDs pretty easily, although totally optional.

4 45mm M3 and some nuts hold things together. I included files for the spacers necessary if you don’t have threaded stand-offs or your own spacers. You’ll need 4 of each type of spacer if you’re using them.

SSD board - uses SATA M.2 (not NVM) SSDs

Ableconn PIUSB-M2S USB to M.2 SATA SSD Converter Stackable Board for Raspberry Pi https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LZ0LCTU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_yqLPEbRQXN3GY
