Pi Day Pie Burning and Stencil
thingiverse
Let's celebrate Pi Day with a delicious twist - burn Pi into a Pie! Alternatively, cut out a stencil to sprinkle powdered sugar on top of Pi onto a Pie. Option 2 is probably better at avoiding burnt pie flavor. For my laser cutter, I burned the design at about 13W power and 120mm/s speed. Then, I went back and vector etched the lettering at 13W power and 20mm/s speed to sharpen the edges. To create a stencil, use whatever material you have on hand that's suitable for your laser cutter's typical power and speed settings. Card stock works just as well as acrylic or any other material that suits your needs.
