You can easily add simple optical zoom functionality to your Pi camera setup by utilizing commercial optics designed specifically for this purpose. Simply attach these optics to the Pi camera module, making sure to remove the default optical filter that comes installed. To do this, you'll need to carefully uncrew it from its current position. For added convenience, we've included Solidworks files to help with your setup and customization process.
