Pi camera mount on Z-axis for Prusa MK3
thingiverse
This is a customized Z-axis mount for the Pi Camera Module v2 designed specifically for the Prusa i3 MK3. By placing your Pi camera at an optimal level, you can easily view the nozzle and accurately determine if a blob is forming from the video feed. I created this mount by modifying ThomasDrafting's original design to enhance its alignment with the nozzle. The mount arm was shortened to ensure better positioning, and the camera mount was reconfigured to accommodate the Pi Camera Module while leaving enough space for the ribbon cable to pass through. The optional "cover" provides added stability to keep the Pi camera module firmly in place. To assemble this mount, you will need an M3x12 screw, an M3 nut, and an M3x18 screw to secure it to the left Z-axis motor. Please note that you'll require a longer ribbon cable for the camera to move smoothly up and down. I recommend using this Amazon product (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00M4DAQH8) for your needs.
