Pi Camera mount on Extruder (MK2S only)

thingiverse

This model is designed to securely attach a Pi Camera directly onto the extruder of a Prusa Research MK2 / MK2S / MK2 with MMUv1, allowing users to closely monitor the quality of the extrusion and printed part in real-time. This feature is particularly useful for observing small printed parts. The camera attaches to three screws located on the small extruder fan, providing a stable and secure mounting system. Viewers can access a sample timelapse video here: https://youtu.be/wFpu1VJc1x8 Before attaching the camera, users must ensure that there is sufficient clearance between the bottom of the case and the bed. Additionally, they should check the clearance on the left side when the extruder is fully moved to the left. Although it may be a tight fit, this configuration is intended to work. Unfortunately, a version compatible with the MK2.5 is currently unavailable due to ongoing delays in receiving the upgrade.
