Pi Camera Mount for M10 Rod on i3 Rework Frame
thingiverse
This is a mount for attaching the Raspberry Pi Camera mount with articulated linkages from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:247590 and http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:403712 onto my self-sourced RepRap i3 Rework frame's 10mm threaded rod. The RPi Camera has an orientation that works best for me, I use this front mount for it at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1662971 and then print up some linkages, this 70mm long linkage is nice: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1545673. Print the back plate from one of the links above, affix it to the frame. I couldn't find a good model for this so I made my own. Printer Settings: Self-Sourced i3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3 Infill: 2% Notes: I tried printing this in Colorfab NGEN (PETG) and PLA, but both were too brittle. I printed it in Taulman Nylon Bridge with 2% infill and 3 perimeters and 3 base and 3 top layers and it worked great. It had the "give" needed to get it to not break but was still strong enough to stay in place and hold up the camera. This turned out to be easier than setting up a whole tripod in front of the printer and I'm still getting the angle that I want. Use an M3 screw (must be >15mm) and nut to connect this to the camera's linkages.
