I really liked the original camera holder design, but unfortunately, I encountered several issues while using it. Firstly, getting the ribbon to slot into place without disconnecting the camera was a major problem. The pivot mechanism was also quite poor, making it difficult to achieve smooth and precise movements. Additionally, the small support shaft was extremely thin and not properly connected to the pivot ball, resulting in a sloppy fit that compromised the overall stability of the holder. Given these challenges, I decided to redesign the base and mount of the camera holder from scratch. This new design should be able to print without any supports, eliminating the need for post-processing and making it easier to produce.
