Pi b+ Case with Partial Camera Case
thingiverse
I combined several designs into one project, effectively merging a Raspberry Pi B+ case with a custom camera enclosure. To modify the Raspberry Pi camera, I removed its lens and replaced it with an M12 mount from this design: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3347061. Additionally, I remixed the back plate from this thing: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2307685 to accommodate an arm attachment from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3747437. Next, I incorporated the Pi B+ case design from here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:967847 to enable arm attachment compatibility. The resulting design is a seamless integration of these components. The camera back plate proved to be a challenging print due to its intricate details and thin features. To mitigate this issue, I printed it with minimal support material touching the build plate. However, separating the supports from the part was delicate and required extra care. To secure the arm attachment, I created custom bolts using this design: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:193647. Although the thread length is slightly longer than necessary, they can be easily trimmed to size. In the end, however, I opted for purchasing dedicated bolts instead of relying on 3D-printed alternatives.
