Pi 0 Flex case for mini camera
thingiverse
I greatly enjoyed Allcity Maker's design, however needed to modify it for the mini-camera. The cable length for this setup is too long for the original layout, and too short to neatly fold, so I relocated the camera mount to one end of the case. When assembling the pieces together, most of the vertical pillars cracked under pressure. It seems that thin vertical components are not my strong suit: they consistently come out misaligned and, when I attempt to refine them, they detach easily. I reworked the Pi mounting system so it's secured from both sides and features a shorter slender section. With the camera mount being such a challenge, I installed a solid foundation with 2mm sockets instead. Small pieces of cocktail stick were inserted into the sockets to hold the camera in place. While purists might be appalled, this setup functions flawlessly. I also enlarged the GPIO socket to accommodate an IDC header.
