Physics Ramp Guage

Physics Ramp Guage

thingiverse

I teach 8th grade science and teach velocity, acceleration, potential energy, and kinetic energy. The best way to demonstrate all this consistently with kids is to have them roll marbles down an incline plane. The biggest issue is consistency in the heights to show how double the height, doubles the energy etc. I built this gauge so that all heights would be consistent for all groups and allow them to see how the different variables affect the outcome of an experiment. The tops of each step have been angled at the appropriate slope so the ramp fits on without a gap. Printed in PLA with 15% infill.
