Phurba (Kila) is a ritual dagger or stake with three heads of an angry deity and a three-edged blade used in rituals for stabbing victims. Sources indicate it was possibly used as a nail to bind victims, but its purpose remains debated. Phur-Ba originates from the Vedic era and later became integral to Tibetan Buddhism and Tantra. In Tibetan Buddhism, the ritual dagger is called Phur-Boo or Peg-Nail, used for banishing evil spirits. The dagger features Hayagriva's horse head, immortal knots, a Makara head, and snakes, all atop three-edged blade handle. To perform spells, ritualists wield the Phurba, stabbing while chanting the hum mantra that manifests through the tool itself.
