This is an incredibly detailed and precise low-poly representation of planet Earth. The file contains two discrete objects: The first object is the actual planet itself; the second object is comprised of clouds. In the video, we showcase the model in its entirety before selectively removing the cloud cover to highlight its distinct components. Both the planet and the clouds share an identical number of polygons, ensuring a seamless transition between the two elements. This highly realistic Earth model includes a stunningly accurate atmosphere and dynamic clouds that adapt to their surroundings, providing a truly immersive visual experience. From a spatial perspective, we can clearly see how the clouds visually respond to changing lighting conditions, effectively simulating both day and night. In addition to its impressive atmospheric effects, the model also features a subtle lighting map that becomes visible only in low-light situations, accurately replicating the sight of human-generated nighttime lights as observed from space. The original creation of this remarkable model was achieved using Blender (.blend), and it is now available for download in three formats: FBX, OBJ, and MTL.
