This file features two wine bottles, a red one and a white one, alongside a studio setup for photorealistic rendering using Cycles. Both models boast identical geometry but different materials and texture maps. The bottles are UV-unwrapped and the package includes individual texture-layers (colour and displacement) as well as the Photoshop-File used to create and export the separate layers. The fonts employed in the wine labels are also included. The entire scene is set up for swift mapping of designs to the bottles and fast rendering. When working with Blender, the original file allows immediate photorealistic rendering with Cycles. The OBJ version can be utilized in other 3D-packages where UV-mapping permits direct application of new designs to the bottles. A personal note: Modelling wine bottles appears to be a straightforward task, but it quickly becomes apparent that things are not as simple as they seem. The first obstacle was achieving accurate refraction and reflection. Wine bottles aren't entirely smooth; the glass and wine have distinct colours and aren't filled to the brim. Upon closer inspection (in the gallery), you can discern the subtleties. Then there are the small details such as the enigmatic information on the bottom of the bottles and the seal above the label. These require displacement-mapping, which needs to be smoothed out nicely to convey a glassy quality. You'll find a useful filter for this effect in the included Photoshop file. Lastly, labelling wine is an art form that I researched extensively to create at least somewhat realistic fake labels. Overall, I'm quite pleased with how these wine bottles turned out and with 4K textures and silky-smooth geometry, they should look great even at high resolutions.
