Photon Mono X lid ceiling host set
thingiverse
I have a very busy shop with four printers and at any given time a dozen ETSY projects in various states of completion. Workbench space is a premium. I love my anycubic Mono X but I was finding it challenging to find a place to set the lid between prints and maintenance. I also found I was getting little splotches on the plastic from my gloves - even with the added side handles. This solution isn't for everyone but if you're in the same boat as me you, this might be right up your alley. I made a hoist system with a counter weight for the lid. A simple touch of a finger on the side handle and the lid gides up toward the ceiling out of the way. When I want to lower it, I give the handle a nudge. Easy Peasy. I ordered this this U-hook kit from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SG3B178/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1). Simply print out the U-hook encasement pieces (I recommend PETG) and slide one over each metal loop. Glue one on each corner on the top of your Mono X's lid. use thin rope to assemble the frame as shown in the pics. Mount a pulley on the ceiling and add a counter weight. I've been using this system for over a month now and I love it.
