Photon Air Filter

Photon Air Filter

thingiverse

The air filtration system on my Anycubic Photon is a bit underwhelming - there are numerous DIY filter systems available on Thingiverse, but I really wanted something more compact (at least as compact as possible) yet using an easily sourced filter system. This 'Thing' leverages a couple of other designs on Thingiverse to build a robust filter system. I've designed this to be push fit, so besides the M3 screws to mount the Fan_mount.stl to the back of the printer, it will (tightly) push together and hold - though I did add some 3mm holes if you need to put a couple of small 5mm M3 screws in. To build this filter system, you'll need: 1 x RC64R Respirator Filter - this is the one I used down here in Australia - https://www.bunnings.com.au/protector-p2-particulate-respirator-filter_p5820170 1 x 60mm x 25mm 12V Fan - I used the Noctua NF-A6x25 FLX - https://noctua.at/en/nf-a6x25-flx Miscellaneous 3mm screws (I suggest 20mm to fit the mount as the nuts are fiddly, but 8/10mm will work) Miscellaneous 3mm nuts Other 3D printed parts: 1 x Just the duct from 0815Paulchen - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3013054 1 x Vented plate from autonumous - https://www.thingaverse.com/thing:3374961 To assemble: Follow instructions to mount the duct, then the vented plate - note that you will likely need to drill out the mounting holes a bit bigger to line everything up, it's close but needs a bit of wiggle room to get the vented plate and duct aligned. You'll also need to drill a hole in the vented plate just to the bottom right of the existing hole to allow the fan wire to pass through. Wire up the fan to the 12V plug on the mainboard. You will need to take the bottom plate off to get to the filter cover on the existing fan to remove it, once off, everything bolts straight on.
