Photographer's Little Helper - framing dogtag with a set of golden rule grids
cults3d
After two decades of daily work with Photoshop, I sometimes feel an overwhelming urge to have one of its tools available in real life. I attempted to create a Ctrl-Z option, but ultimately failed; so I decided to scale back my ambitions and try something less daunting as a first project. Consequently, I've designed this dogtag-like "framing assistant". It features the standard grids found in Photoshop's crop tool (golden spiral, golden ratio, triangle, diagonal, rule of thirds) for the most commonly used photo ratios (1:1, 4:3, 3:2, 16:9). You can print the base and grids separately and attach them together, or you can print them in a single piece for a solitary object.
