Umbrella Clamp is a nice-to-have feature that requires some finesse. It ensures your umbrella doesn't get deformed by the M4 bolt, unlike flimsy umbrella holders without this feature. When not in use, tighten the M4 bolt all the way in to prevent the Umbrella Clamp from falling out. The M5 nut(s) fits snugly into the base part and is held firmly in place by its respective M5 nut. One works fine but you can also use two.
