Matte filters precisely match 52mm lenses perfectly. Fake anamorphic effects, 1.33x, 1.5x and 2x are easily replicated using these matte filters. They effectively mimic the elliptical bokeh of front element anamorphic lenses on spherical lenses (also compatible with rear mounted anamorphics to achieve this effect). Other mattes include different iris shapes, squares, triangles, and cut-outs in heart shapes. Plus, stars like Lomo Petzval Aquarelle mattes and a copy of the famous Fujinon SF soft focus lens aperture are available. The soft focus lens aperture is ideally used with an 85mm petzval lens that produces soft images wide open. These matte filters have a diameter of 51mm. They fit perfectly into the front of a lens as a simple push/clip attachment, but can be held firmly in place using a clear 52mm filter. Larger lenses will need a step-down ring to secure these matte filters properly. To get the correct size for your 72mm filter, magnify your print by 1.39 in your slicer.
