Phonograph/gramophone/grafonola replica
thingiverse
I've had my parents' old phonograph sitting in their living room, and I decided to model it to practice working with surfaces and curvatures. I haven't printed it yet, but I think the complex shapes and thinness of the design make it a pretty tough print to tackle, so if you give it a shot, let me know how it turns out. Also, Solidworks exports STL files in a very unusual way, so you'll need to rotate all the parts in your slicing software. I'm also planning to create several more models based on this design as an amplifier for phone speakers and possibly the internal gears, but that will take a lot more time.
