Phoniebox ======= Kids Music Box with RFID Reader and Spotify ------------------------ I was searching for an open source alternative to a Kids Audio Box, such as Toniebox or Tigerbox, and discovered Phoniebox along with its Git repository. I designed a box that would accommodate all the components and found the tigerbox aesthetically pleasing. My box is slightly larger to fit everything, measuring 14cm edge-wise, but remains light enough for my two-year-old son to lift. The figurines are from Thingiverse, remixed to include an RFID chip slot. Depending on the figurine placed atop the box, a different playlist is played, currently featuring kids' audio books and a Spotify music playlist. This project is very cool, and I hope to expand it as my son grows older. I'd like to include changes made after finishing the box. You need to print one of each file. I used Vertigo Grey for the bottom part and ReForm rPET for the rest. I printed everything at 0.28mm layer height, keeping the bottom as-is and sanding, priming, painting, and clearcoating the rest as needed. Edits ======== * 2020_02_26: Uploaded the Source Blender File and a blank Front Plate
