After rummaging through my drawer and unearthing my trusty old iPad 2, I decided to breathe new life into it by searching for a stand that would allow me to prop it up in portrait mode while keeping it charged via a conveniently placed USB port. My printer may be small, but I was determined to find a solution. Unfortunately, most iPhone stands I've come across are woefully inadequate when it comes to accommodating a case, leaving my iPhone 8 Plus stuck between a rock and a hard place - or rather, a stand that couldn't quite fit its bulk. As an added bonus, working on improving my Fusion 360 skills presented the perfect opportunity to create something from scratch. This model checks off several boxes for me, and I'm excited to share it with others who may be facing similar challenges. One of the standout features of this design is its compatibility with a variety of devices. The hole is spacious enough to accommodate the older 30-pin plug on my iPad 2, but also easily accommodates Lightning cables - as evidenced by the photos. It's likely that USB-C and other connectors will fit just as seamlessly. In my testing, the stand has proven stable for my devices, although I must caution that your mileage may vary. As with any printed product, it's essential to exercise due care when handling and assembling the parts. If you decide to print this design, I'd love to hear about it - a simple comment or message would go a long way in making my day. There's something special about knowing that something I created is being used by someone else, and I'm grateful for your interest!
