Phone/Tablet Clip Mount - Customisable & Universal!

This is a versatile phone mount that allows for customisation to fit any smartphone perfectly. It includes a 3/8 boss for easy attachment to various devices with a 1/4 tripod screw, using one of these adapters https://amzn.to/2CPIh8d. You can use it in conjunction with ball joint heads, suction mounts (ideal for GPS navigation while on holiday!), GoPro tube clamps on motorcycles, vlogging sticks, magic arms, lighting stands, and more. The connection is remarkably strong due to the large diameter of the 3/8 adapter and its chunky thread. To customise this mount, simply dial in your phone or tablet's width, thickness, and whether you need any side button cutouts, as well as the desired wall thickness. It scales seamlessly from small to enormous sizes and can be used in both landscape and portrait orientations - in landscape mode, it doubles as a desk stand. If customising for landscape orientation, be sure to increase the wall thickness (at least 3mm) to ensure a secure grip. I personally use one of these mounts in my car with a suction mount and another on my motorcycle with several GoPro swivel extensions. For optimal performance, it's recommended to print this design from ABS material due to its superior temperature resistance if you plan to use it in your vehicle. However, PLA also works well (the mounts used in the video were made from PLA). The Thingiverse Customiser preview is somewhat lacking, so it's best to download and open the file on your computer using OpenSCAD to accurately customise it. The STL file provided serves as a reference point - I customised it specifically for my Xiaomi Mix 2s.
