Phone stand w/ MagSafe charger cutout

Phone stand w/ MagSafe charger cutout

Inspired by a phone stand I got from somewhere, I put in a cut out for a MagSafe charger. This is sized to fit an iPhone 12 Pro Max and an iPhone 13 Pro Max, so your mileage may vary with other models. If you want to use the .DXF files to make this on a CNC, I've uploaded a picture of my final(ish) product made with 9mm plywood and an 1/8 upcut flute. I used Estlcam to program the gcode for me. The leg is pretty simple, but for the stand itself, this is what I did. * In the center of the cable hole there is a circle. I cut that as a hole, the full depth of the stock. * I cut the entire piece as a part, with some overcut inside the slot for the leg and a single holding tab. Again, cut this the full depth of the stock. * I cut the charger cutout as a hole / pocket, with a depth of 5.55mm. I let Estlcam choose the order and I had my Z-plunge set to 5mm, so everything took 2 passes. It needs a little finishing, but the parts fit together nicely, and the charger doesn't come out when you pull your phone away. In fact, I had to smack it a few times after I took the picture to get the charger back out. There's a little weirdness in the cutout for the charger in the picture, but that isn't a design flaw. Something on my CNC is loose.
