Phone Stand - Tablet Stand - Print-in-place
thingiverse
This 'print in place hinge' phone stand is based on the hinge design in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGya4JMVGno&ab_channel=DesktopMakes I included two parts: -- One part with a 0.25 mm gap between hinge parts -- A second part with a 0.50 mm gap between hinge parts The instructions in the video are clear. I suggest creating your own design. My parts are 3.6 mm thick using 'magic numbers' for my Creality printer. I printed parts with the 0.25 mm gap. I had to carefully flex the part back and forth to break the hinge free. If you flex the part too quickly the part will break. If a 0.25 mm gap doesn't work for you, try the 0.50 gap. The stand will support a phone up to 16 mm thick. Also, the stand will support a tablet. Diane Leonard suggested using a glue gun to add beads of glue on the bottom of the stand to prevent the stand from slipping on a flat surface. See the photo with the green arrows.
