Phone Stand Remix: Dovetailed for smaller printers
thingiverse
If you have a smaller printer like the Monoprice IIIp and want to print this, three parts won't fit on the bed. I've added dovetails so larger parts can be printed on a small bed. Using a wood block to tap and press joints together is recommended. Then thin CA glue can be wicked into the joints - it does leave a haze, but paint will hide that. This isn't as strong as a solid print, but it's better than nothing. The rest of the parts are available at the original source: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3681511 One more modification or tip: the pin on the rack gear came out too small to hold the spring. A small hole was drilled and a nail inserted, then cut flush. The head of the nail keeps the spring from slipping loose.
