Phone Stand - Horizontal/Landscape
prusaprinters

There are lots of phone stand prints available, but none of them quite worked the way I wanted, which was to hold the phone sideways (or horizontal, or landscape if you prefer), and slightly elevated. I wanted to be able to place the phone on my desk between my keyboard and monitor, and hold it at an angle where I could easily keep an eye on the phone screen.

Although I did not remix any previous phone stand prints, I did get some good ideas from looking at what others have done. I was able to quickly design this stand and print it out with the idea that I could replace a "quick and dirty" design with something better later, but it actually turned out better than I expected, and the print quality was quite good despite being printed in 0.3mm "draft mode."

In case you're wondering why I need this : I recently installed a camera on the front of my house so I could keep an eye on my front yard/driveway while working in my windowless basement home office.

The OnShape 3D CAD files for this are here :

https://cad.onshape.com/documents/94e19b3bcb81eccb994bf198/w/7eac64e5700eab406f09d5b6/e/a1e66ba14c4569c7de141e7d

Print instructions

Print in PLA using the 3mf file provided; otherwise :

0% infill

no brim or supports required

I printed in 0.3mm layer height "draft mode" to speed up the print time, and the print quality was very good.

Print on the side as shown in the photos.
