Phone Stand/Charger
prusaprinters

This is a phone charger stand designed and have since made 4 of because we like and use them so much! We have used them on a variety of different iPhones, with different cases - but would probably work on other phones too.

The important part of this design is that it was made to be used with different phones, and with different cases of different thicknesses. The 4 large plastic thumb screws can be adjusted to place your phone at the exact proper height/distance so it aligns with the cable/connector.

The cable is retained by two separate pieces. They are made so you can can adjust the standoff-height from the lower piece, and then camp the cable into place with the upper piece.

All-in-all - this gives use a perfect fit on the phones/cases we've used. There is also an (improved) retainer on the base to hold the cable in and out of the way. (Not shown in this picture).

Be aware, sometimes cables with different shaped heads MAY requires some tweaking. If a cable is too loose, a little piece of rubber or silicone or whatever can be used to fill in the space. If it is too tight, you're general okay because you don't HAVE to tighten the screws all the way, but if it doesn't quite fit in - you may have to sand or adjust the retainer or cable or something a tiny bit. (It completely depends on the cable you use).

This design requires 4x M3 screws to assemble. (See photo for assembly instructions)

Print instructions

The main stand should print phone-"face" down. The two cable-retention pieces should be printed with the "U" facing up (like a "U"). The 4 bolts should be printed flat head down. No supports needed like this. (It's all arranged like this in my .gcode file)

The STL file only has 2 thumb screw - so you will need to copy/paste 3 more to complete.
