This device is meant for the student learning from home. The intended use of this item is to prop up phones or even tablets with some customization, also the cup on the back is for storage of items like pencils, pens, or anything else you want. This can help those learning from home by being able to hold a device at a comfortable level to make video calls or watch education videos while also acting as storage for writing utensils. What issues did I come up against?: When making the stand, the slide was very troublesome to make sure it was the right size for most phones, and that it would be at at a comfortable level of viewing. If I could redesign the item, what would I do?: If I had more time I think I could have made the stand nicer to look at but this time around I believed that product usability was more important. How would 3D printing strengthen my design?: By being available for 3D printing, my design can be reached by a wide audience and be changed to fit the needs of the person printing.
