Phone Portal / Altar - 28mm gaming

[](https://go.ec3d.design/the-ignis-quadrant-ks) This is a rapid-fire take on cell phone portals that are increasingly popular. The base design was inspired by an awesome version I spotted in DM Scotty's Facebook group. I printed this quickly at .3mm layer heights, but the chains didn't turn out well initially. A few dabs of super glue added strength and fixed the issue. I've successfully printed smaller chains at steeper angles before, so these should print fine with a more reasonable layer height and speed setting. The design is tailored to fit my Google Nexus 5x phone, which measures 147x73x8mm - a decent-sized device. The hole has plenty of tolerance for fit, making it compatible with larger phones as well. I'm currently working on painting the piece and plan to upload painted photos and example portal videos in the future.
