Phone Mount with Ball Joint
thingiverse
This is a versatile phone mount for any device with a ball joint, and most mounts can accommodate balls. I picked up a basic bike mount for a Go-Pro camera at the store and realized that by removing the screw platform, I could use the socket mount for anything. All I needed to do was measure and design the ball, then attach it to whatever I wanted. Many mounts on the market also use a ball-socket system, making this suitable for them. The ball has a diameter of 15-15.5mm and can be easily scaled up or down in your CAD software (or I could do it with a polite request). I've added an alternative backing if you prefer not to use the diagonal slats. Both provide stability, weight reduction, and aesthetic appeal while reducing the amount of filament needed for printing.
