The original design boasts a very good connection to the microscope, ensuring that images remain extremely sharp while taking pictures or filming. However, the adapter fails to accommodate newer phones with superior cameras, which are thinner and feature buttons on their sides. I utilized an older microscope with a 30mm tube, necessitating some adjustments to adapt it. The accompanying photographs were taken during my initial attempt using the original design, complete with 30mm clamps, and another phone. To address compatibility issues, I altered the size of the microscope connection to 30mm. The body and clamp are integrated, eliminating the need for glue. I also repositioned the slider to accommodate the Samsung S6, which features buttons on its side. Furthermore, I adjusted the height of the sliders to suit thinner phones. To facilitate ease of use, I added M3 wingnut adapters. It is essential to utilize a M3 ring in conjunction with these adapters to lift the wings from the surface. No printing-related complications are anticipated. All components were printed using XT material from collorfabb, ensuring a robust and reliable adapter. Printing Details: Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer Model: Ultimaker 2 Resolution: 0.15-0.2 mm Infill Percentage: 20% (100% for the wingnut adapter) Notes: To ensure a strong and dependable product, I utilized XT material from collorfabb.
