Phone holder with rubber band

This is a custom phone gripper designed specifically for use with a 1/4-20 mount screw. Unlike traditional designs that require an additional screw-and-nut combination, this gripper uses a rubber band to secure the phone in place. A groove on both the top and bottom parts of the design allows the rubber band to fit snugly, ensuring it maintains its tension. The top part features mechanical constraints that keep it straight relative to the bottom part, as well as preventing it from closing completely down. This ensures the rubber band stays taut, providing a secure grip for your phone. Unfortunately, I'm unable to provide a photo of the gripper in use, as taking pictures requires using the very device it's designed to hold. However, you can easily visualize how it works. Add a 1/4-20 nut to the design. 2. Attach any type of rubber band you like, taking care not to apply too much pressure that might damage your phone while still providing a secure grip. Design Information: This model was created using FreeCAD and is included for anyone who wants to make modifications or use it as a starting point for their own designs. The current state of the model leaves room for improvement, but feel free to experiment and come up with something entirely new.
