Phone holder Phone stand with heart
thingiverse
Based on design from Byctrldesign. Changes: It's a bit wider now, increased in width from 25mm to 30mm. Additional features include buttocks, compatible with 10mm silicone anti-slip self-adhesive pads for improved stability. A heart was added in the chest of the male figure :-). (I'm aware that it shouldn't be centered perfectly, but this design isn't intended to be anatomically precise.) This model is available in four variations: One version lies on its side, designed to be the easiest to print. Another sits up with built-in support for the lower tip of the heart. This feature has a wide base to ensure it doesn't detach from the build plate during printing, especially for users without rafts. The other two versions feature smoothed edges and are printed lying down on one side or sitting up with built-in support for the heart's tip. All four designs can be printed without supports, but they require good bridging capabilities due to the presence of a heart. I created the smoothed-edge versions later than the sharp-edged ones. Since I didn't have access to the original 3D source files, I resorted to using MeshMixer for smoothing and increasing polygon counts. However, the resulting file was around 10MB. Nevertheless, simplifying several surfaces helped maintain its overall quality :-). As an added step, I had MeshMixer generate supports for the sitting version, expecting them to be more straightforward and easy to remove post-printing without causing any damage. To edit the sharp-edged versions directly, feel free to access them on Tinkercad here: Smartphone holder guy with heart and buttocks. Note: The images attached are of me printing the smoothed version in a sitting position using my Zortrax M200 printer with 0.14mm layers and no supports. Surprisingly, it was a bit too small for my Sony Xperia Z5 Premium phone, especially when sporting a case. In future prints, I plan to scale up the design by 130-150% and use 0.19 mm layers for better results under the arms. Overall, though, I'm satisfied with how the final product turned out.
