Phone holder, Mag Mount Stabilizer
thingiverse
My First Creation in Fusion 360 and Printed. I Designed This to Help Stabilize My Cell Phone on a Magnetic Mount in My Truck. I've Tried Clamp-On Style Phone Holders but They Always Failed or Got in the Way of My Buttons. I Really Like the Ease of the Mag Mount, But I Drive a Lot of County Roads with Washboards and Off-Road, and Eventually the Phone Will Shake Off of the Mount. I've Fought This Issue for Years and Originally Solved It Using Instamorph Plastic. I Fashioned Some Legs and Reinforced Them with Wire, and It Did the Job Relatively Well. After All, I Was Just Looking for Some Stability, But in the Summer That Plastic Would Melt Off of the Mount If It Got Too Hot Inside the Vehicle or Deform. Enter the 3D Printer (FFCP)! I've Only Owned One Now for a Month and Am Trying to Teach Myself CAD. I Settled on Fusion 360, Watched a Lot of Tutorials, and Came Up with This Design So Far. New Iterations Will Evolve. The Hole is 22mm for the Mag Mount, and the Width/Length Where the Phone Sits is 88 x 17mm. It's Specifically Meant to Fit My Galaxy S10 with an Otterbox Defender Case. The Likelihood That This Will Match Too Many People's Scenario Is Slim, but Here It Is in All Its Glory. I Should Probably Mention That In Order to Use the Galaxy S10's Wireless Charging Capabilities, the Metal Plate Must Be Attached to the Phone's Back and Placed Very Low or High If You So Choose. This is Why the Distance Between the Base of the Holder and the Magnet is Relatively Short, and Why Some Kind of Stabilization Was Needed.
