Phone fall protection for shirt pockets
thingiverse
You ever had your smartphone in your shirt pocket, only to bend down and watch it fall out? I have, and that's why I created my "shirt pocket smartphone holder." Since using it, my phone stays put even when I'm bending down to grab something from the floor. How it works: The clamp body holds the phone snugly between its curved, spring-like front wall and solid rear wall. A spring with barbed hooks inside the shirt pocket keeps the holder body secure. To insert or remove your phone, simply push or pull firmly until it's seated or released. This design is a simplified version of a more complex project I published on Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3117979). Printing this holder is easy and requires minimal post-processing. Its compact size allows even longer phones to fit snugly in your pocket, with the phone's tip resting against the pocket's bottom. The holder measures 82 x 9 mm, making it suitable for many smartphones. My HTC U11 and Samsung S5 fit perfectly, but you can easily adapt the holder body to accommodate other phones as well.
