Phone Dock

Phone Dock

Pretty much per the explanation…a dock for my Pixel 3 XL that integrates the charging cable and lets me use the phone as a speaker phone while docked. The dock is optimized for the linked case below but it would likely work with most cases. I remixed one for my wife for her nightstand to tighten up the slot a bit. It worked just fine, was just a little loose because she has a much slimmer case.

The design uses the charging cable that comes with the phone. There is a two direction slot in the bottom. All you do is turn the cable 90 degrees and push it up through the slightly larger slot, then once it's through the top you turn it back 90 degrees and seat it in the base. It's friction fit and stays in place perfectly without any glue or nonsense like that.

The underside has cable management that holds the cable nicely (also friction fit) and directs it out the back. I use 3 small pieces of command strip tape on the bottom to affix it to my desk, so it doesn't wander around. The command strips won't jack up the desk if you want to move it later.

I've included 2 models, the final version 4 that is shorter with a revised gap at the control button/mic and an earlier version 2-2 which is taller with a deeper pocket. Pictures are a monogrammed version 4 I did with insert lettering printed separately.
