3D printed Mobile/Phone Cooler. Good for who playing high-end games or video recording, time-lapse etc. Just a hobby DIY project. Have 2 version of cooling fan for all types of smart phones. With LED Flash light:- • 3D printed parts • 5-6v (24.4mm x 12.3 mm) DC motor ( easily find one in old CD or DVD drives/ players) • Connection to motor should be opposite polarity. Just check the air flow - towards backside. • On/off push button 7mm for LED • 100 ohm resistor (for LED) • M2 x 10mm 2Nos • Dia 16 CREE LED (3.2-4V) • USB cable & 0.5mm wires (took from old HDD data wires) Without LED flash light with PUBG theme front grill customized:- • 3D printed parts • 5-6v (24.4mm x 12.3 mm) DC motor ( easily find one in old CD or DVD drives/ players) • M2 x 10mm 2Nos • Connection to motor should be opposite polarity. Just check the air flow - towards backside. • Customized PUBG theme front grill (or print normal grill) • USB cable This cooler can reduce the heat generated by your phone by 6-10 degrees depend on your climate. Just a hobby DIY project got inspired by playing PUBG. The motor I used from DVD drive which is almost silent like brush-less fan and very low vibration. Easily available from market and cheap. Also by using cooling fan, Antutu Benchmark score got increased. It means performance of phone can be boosted. USE dark color for Main housing to keep it neat and clean for long time. It can work from directly from phone USB by turning on USB debug on. Better to connect the cooler via power-bank or any 5V external source. Gently tight the locking screw to hold on to your phone with your fingers. I designed without heat sink aluminum heat blocks to reduce weight and there is no much difference by adding an Al heat-sink simply behind the phone. Either it should touch the processor. Now you won't even know it is attached to your phone because its very light weight. If using without phone case you can add foam tape on both support plates where the phone touches, also behind the motor base small 2 round pocket for adding foam tape. NOT RECOMMENDED: By avoiding the front grill for more air flow and noise reduction. But problem is safety, there is a chance to get hurt from those fan blades while running.
