Phone Clip

My wife still clings to her flip phone, refusing to surrender to the smartphone revolution. She's after a phone clip that attaches to her pant pocket or jeans, letting the phone dangle below her blouse or shirt and avoiding that unsightly "phone bulge." This is my first attempt at creating something like this, and it needs work. The style of phone clip I'm using involves sticking a button to the back of the phone, then sliding the phone onto the clip via the button. To secure the button, I used 3M double-stick tape from Ace Hardware. When you print this, be sure to cut or Dremel off the supports on the button track (check the photo). I also had to sand down the button shaft a bit, likely due to overheating during the printing process with PLA. The result was an unexpected widening of the shaft diameter. I've uploaded photos of the clip; keep in mind this is a prototype, printed in blue. When removing the supports, I scratched the clip. I have some revisions planned and will update the STL file once complete. I've included the 123D Design files so you can customize to your heart's content!
With this file you will be able to print Phone Clip with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Phone Clip.
