This version doesn't require any glue. A functional tripod socket was created using a basic surplus car vent phone mount. To accomplish this project, you will need: * A swivel / ball joint car vent phone adapter. I obtained an "Aduro Products Swivel Clip Luxe" for approximately $7 from Princess Auto. * A ¼" – 20 4-lobed T-nut The mount used had a ball joint measuring 16.9 mm in diameter. It is unclear if this is a universal or specific size to the model. A further update indicates that another surplus vent mount purchased had an identical ball joint size, suggesting a 16.9 mm / ⅔" ball joint may be a standard dimension.
