Phone bracket for mask creation

This simple clamp holds a phone in position over the D7 display, ensuring the camera is always centered on the plate. Coded settings are tailored for my Nexus 5X, but this design is customizable to fit any phone. The phone's width is limited by the build plate size, and the camera is assumed to be centrally positioned between the two phone sides. Two variations of this clamp have been uploaded: one with a 10mm standoff between the plate and phone, and another with no standoff and 0.8mm walls. This clamp was created for quickly generating a reasonable mask image in Creation Workshop, as suggested by Gerhard Eichenseer on the Wanhao Duplicator 7 group's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/287910088208745/permalink/528854347447650/. The instructions below are paraphrased from Gerhard's post: First, tape a piece of thin white paper over the D7 display, pulling it tight. Then project a full-screen white image (for example, by slicing a block and using Creation Workshop to project a slice). Turn on the UV array, take pictures of the UV cast onto the paper, and turn off the array again (don't leave the UV array on for more than a few seconds). Post-processing the captured images in Gimp is as follows: scale the blue image rectangle to 2560x1440 pixels. Then: 1. Load the picture. 2. Color - Desaturate - Luminosity - OK 3. Color - Invert 4. Filters - Noise - Spread (H 50%; V 50%) 5. Color - Brightness ~95; Contrast ~40 This is just a starting point; load the mask into CW and take new photos to see how even the new image is. Adjust the brightness/contrast settings and repeat until the image is reasonably even.
