Phone and Watch Wireless Charging Dock

Here is the wireless charging dock for your phone and watch. It's designed to work with phones and watches that support wireless charging, so you'll need one of those before it can do its job. I tested it with my Android phone and Apple watch, as well as my wife's iPhone and watch - all worked great and fit perfectly. Important: this item is not for the faint of heart. You'll need to take apart an existing wireless charging dock, remove the electronics, and transfer them into a new cavity. It's not rocket science, but it does require some technical know-how. I used a sacrificial device that I found on Ebay for $6 delivered, which was perfect because it had an upright form factor that fit perfectly with this project. These devices are often made in China and sold under different brand names - just look for one that fits the bill. The watch charger is designed to accept standard magnetic coin-size chargers used on Apple and Android watches. Simply slide your existing charger into place, run the cord through a notch at the back, and you're good to go. I applied a small amount of hot glue to keep everything in place. All the electronics and wires fit neatly into the base of this dock. To extend the USB cables, I bought some extension cables that plug into a dual USB charger plugged into my wall outlet. A cover is provided to keep everything tidy, with screw holes for easy installation. I reused the screws from my sacrificial device, which worked perfectly. I also added some adhesive rubber pads for extra grip and airflow. This project turned out great for me - it's compact enough to print on my Monoprice MP mini select v2 printer, which has a 120mm x 120mm build plate.
