Phoenix Talons

This innovative e-NABLE Phoenix Hand v2 provides individual finger dexterity to individuals with limb differences, allowing for easy nail changes as desired. The modified tensioning system was re-designed using the existing geometry of the Phoenix Hand. The tensioner consists of 7 parts: a Slotted Tensioner, 5 Tensioning Spools, and a tensioning bar. This design enables effective tensioning and loosening of strings controlling individual fingers. Each spool is connected to a corresponding finger and can be adapted for either left or right E-Nable Phoenix Hand prosthetics. The tensioning spools, as shown in the pictures above, are linked to individual fingers' strings, which wrap around the spools to adjust grip tension, resulting in greater prosthetic dexterity. Detailed assembly information and an overview of this design can be found in the Instructions document uploaded in Thing Files.
