Phoenix Smooth

pinshape

Summarye-NABLE Phoenix hand modified exclusively for Unlimbited arm application. This sleeker, smoother design utilizes monofilament tendons with crimps for optimal performance. Unlike other models, it eliminates dental bands to minimize effort required to close fingers and thumb. A double strand of 80# test monofilament takes the place of traditional pushing and pulling mechanisms, creating a more natural appearance at rest while delivering exceptional strength when closed. The whipple tree is strategically located within the palm of this hand model. Unlike standard Phoenix channels, tendons are directly inserted into the palm during assembly. All files for this build are optimized to 100% scale and will maintain consistency even with varying build percentages. A "Chicago pin" attachment mechanism has been designed specifically for wrist and cuff connections. For maximum strength, these pins are printed in nylon; however, users will need to supplement with a screw and washer. I extend my gratitude to John Diamond, Andreas Bastion, and other pioneering individuals who have contributed significantly to the development of the Phoenix Hand. Their work is deserving of recognition, and I provide a full attribution link: www.thingiverse.com/thing:1453190
