Phoenix Smooth
thingiverse
e-NABLE Phoenix hand modified specifically for Unlimbited arm application only. Sleek, smooth design features monofilament tendons with crimps for effortless movement. Dental bands are not used to minimize closing effort for fingers and thumb. Double strands of 80# test monofilament accomplish both pushing and pulling finger functions for a natural look at rest and impressive strength when closed. The whipple tree is situated in the palm area. Tendons do not pass through standard Phoenix channels but instead go directly into the palm during assembly. All files are created at "100%" (child size) and should remain consistent with other typical builds, even when matching percentages. A pin designed specifically for wrist and cuff attachment is called the "Chicago pin." These pins are printed in nylon to maximize strength. A screw and washer must be added separately. Credit goes to John Diamond, Andreas Bastion, and numerous others who contributed to the Phoenix Hand's design. Their work deserves recognition.
