Philips Soothie Box
thingiverse
Your search for a box specifically designed for your Philips Soothies has finally come to an end. As a young maker dad, I also faced the challenge of safely storing and cleaning my son's pacifiers, which often came with great boxes that were even microwaveable for thorough disinfection. However, the Philips Soothies presented a problem since their packaging wasn't designed with safety in mind. I set out to create a solution by designing a box where the "dirty" part doesn't come into contact with the clean pacifier, especially since PLA is not heat-resistant and can melt in a microwave. My design aimed to make your life easier and keep you from worrying about pacifier cleanliness. To assemble this protective storage for your Philips Soothies, you'll need the following parts: * 1 M3x25 screw (or equivalent) * 2 M3 nuts (or equivalent) If you want to add an extra layer of security with a locking mechanism, you'll also need: * Any fine string * A 2.0x40 mm Cotter Pin The assembly process is straightforward: - First, ensure all parts are clean and move smoothly. - Glue the cover and cap together for a secure seal. For the hinge: - Use the M3x25 screw and 2 M3 nuts to connect the box and the cover part through the pre-drilled holes. If you choose to use the Cotter Pin for added security: - Tie one end of the string to the free hole using the Cotter Pin. - Let the glue cure before inserting your pacifier. Your Philips Soothies storage solution is now ready for use.
