The Philips N7300 was the last reel to reel recorder made my Philips. A great sounding machine, but unfortunately, mostly made with plastic parts - some of them prone to wear and tear. I have uploading a replacement for the internal gear and the gear that fits on the uptake reel motor. More details to follow. I've printed my parts using Nylon filament, but you may be ok with PLA +. I've cut off the damaged internal gear with a metal saw - this is easy as there is a groove that guides the saw. I used the original gorilla glue (cured with water) - it expands and creates a very strong bond, which may look a bit messy, but it is perfectly ok. The original gear on the motor should come off with a bit of effort and should be replaced with the new gear. I used a vice to force the gear onto the central metal bit. Not the easiest project, but my recorder is working flawlessly again. I haven't changed the supply disk, I guess the same design can be used when mirrored, but I have not checked this yet. Update: just mirror the designs if you need to replace the supply disk gears. Note that this design has fewer teeth than the original, but it works superbly. Fast FW/REV is maybe a little noisier, but acceptable.
